How a message stays private

  1. 01 · On your device

    It starts with you.

You type a message. Until you send it, it exists only in your browser.

  2. 02 · In transit

    Sealed before it leaves.

Every hop travels over HTTPS, the same encryption behind the padlock in your address bar. Nobody on the network in between can read it.

  3. 03 · Our server

    Passed along, never kept.

Our server opens the request only to check you’re signed in and forward it. It keeps no copy, and we don’t log what you write or what the model replies.

  4. 04 · The model

    Answered in a sealed room.

TEE models run on confidential computing hardware with isolated, encrypted memory, walled off even from the people running the machine. Incognito models are labelled, and go to their provider instead.

  5. 05 · Storage

    Saved as noise.

Chats stay in your browser by default. Turn on sync and each one is encrypted on your device first, so our database only ever holds ciphertext.

  6. 06 · Your key

    Only you can open it.

Your passkey or recovery key unlocks your history, and it’s decrypted on your device. We don’t hold that key, so we couldn’t read your chats if we tried.

This is what a synced chat looks like to us. Go ahead, try to read it.

Can you help me word an email asking my manager for medical leave?

Of course. Keep it short and factual: the dates you need, that it’s for a medical reason, and an offer to hand over your current work before you go.

Decrypted on your device, and only while your chats are unlocked.
